Any EER Offers?

I'm curious whether anyone still with the Company has heard whether EER offers were received by anyone in the mail after the recent 4K - 6K headcount/cost cutting announcement was made as part of the Q425 earnings call. The reason I ask is because it would be similar timing to what happened when the last 4K - 6K headcount / cost cutting announcement was made as part of the Q422 earnings call. The last time, EER offers were mailed out in early January, right after the holiday shutdown.

@p3 I work at the Boise campus and some days it is packed. Yes there has been some movement with a few labs, but the cubes are relatively full of people’s stuff. Pre and post holiday it takes a bit and the RTO hasn’t been “enforced” so some folks are still WFH more than others.

@p3 my husband still works at the Boise campus, so not totally empty... yet

I wouldn’t be surprised if EER will be offered with a large headcount reduction is underway. You’ll be a martyr and prevent one person from getting laid off… or the company will try to jam it down your throat.

I don’t expect a good package this time around.

The bigger question is whether anyone is "still with the Company". Been at the Boise campus recently? It's deserted.

@da maybe, but that would take time to adequately collect performance data to justify firing people, not to mention meet reduction targets. There will likely be have to be other methods of reducing workforce.

@dh...understood. EERs are offered to full time employees and that was what I was inquiring about, specifically.

@cs CW’s aren’t offered that, they just let the PO end or end it.

I would say unlikely. The RTO mandate as well as movement to a rank-based performance management structure are almost certainly being done as a low-cost way (for cause) to exit employees vs expensive EERs and layoffs.
