Depends on the role. Some positions do require weekend work. But I'm guessing you do not have one of those positions. So the answer is "no", it is not required. But you are going to be first in line for the next layoff if you don't "support your team".
I worked on weekends to help my team during critical periods. Some times things go wrong and extra effort is required to get things right so everything gets back on schedule. Stuff happens, so you adjust to correct it.
But I won't work weekends anymore. Anything that goes wrong now is the result of failed management decisions. They chose for things to go wrong, so to correct the problems would be insubordination. Saving management from themselves is how some terrible managers keep getting promoted. To allow their failures to bear fruit, might impact their career trajectories. Bad managers getting demoted or removed will help the company succeed in the future.
@OP HR is only ever there to protect the company, not you. Not just at Fiserv, any organization.
No your highness you shouldn’t have to! All systems run on their own. No IT person should work off hours.
Please send a nasty email to HR , your manager and the CEO informing them that your time is too valuable to be spent on work.

Follow the sun support means no weekend work should be needed. Time zones should cover most of the weekend. Oncall support covers any gap. Enjoy your personal life on the weekend.
Smart thing to do is to 1) stop working on weekends and 2) start d*cking around during normal work hours. I follow this plan and I feel a lot less stress.

Layoffs are happening. If you complain to hr they will say leave because 10 people will die for an income and take your role.

You act like you've never had a job or you've worked as an hourly worker at WalMart.
