Technically… A Riff eliminates a position, not the person. You could apply for some other open position.

This is the time that they do the RIFs, I was RIFd in 2019 just before the merger announcement. I worked 30 days after that. They told me not to tell anyone until my last day. Best thing ever, the department was becoming a hot mess.

@day+1iA199VG, I was up for a promotion and succeed the second interview. I'm perplexed, but in the long run I'm sure to be better off. It will be nice to have some time off with the family. I'll look at this as an opportunity, not a problem, H BB&T here.
