Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Holidays apparently no longer count as an "in office" day

We were explicitly told in a meeting today that PTO counts as an "in office" day but holidays do not. I don't know if that's a new policy or if the executive that said it is clueless, but that's what we were told.

We were reminded this week that RTO is 3 FULL days per week (i.e. 8 1/2 - 9 hours in office) but PTO & holidays do count as 'in office' days; also that monitoring is increasing.

They like your in person smile. Just be happy.

I still don't understand why they want us in the office. I take my commute time and just deduct it from my work time, 2 hour commute, means 2 hours less i work. I also deduct an extra hour to destress when I get home, that's almost 40% less work out of me for the day. They need to sell the properties or unwind the leases for cash and start living in 21st century, webcams are a thing.

In my Ent Function we got it in writing from our RTO that both count in office. Reach out to your RTO directly and just ask. That is what I did as a manager then I sent it out. Until worse from above changes it then that is what I and my team comply with.

Production doesn't matter to the execs, saving money on severance and getting long time employees to quit does.

Sounds like they are asking for a lawsuit based on discrimination. Someone remind the tower in NYC that it's Holy Days.

Such silliness and how many resources are dedicated to this?

Seems like it varies according to business line and senior leader. Told today PTO doesn't count. Example: if you take 2 PTO days in a week, you still should work the other 3 in office as the requirement is 3 in office. Would be helpful to have corporate communication on this topic.

@cuc

Don’t look for logic, there is no plan, no thought, literally nothing between the ears of our leaders aside from their fat paychecks and inevitable exit via golden parachute

I mentioned this in another post the other day. I think the reason is that in workday you don't request holidays so there is nothing for their reporting to count against. anyway, I've heard the same thing in my org as of last week.

So? In November, that's one day or maybe two with Veterans. That won't break you. Also all groups are different
