Anyone heard the latest on the WS Tower? I heard people/ groups are still being displaced and/or relocated to Charolette - even Uptown not CIC.

Both Winston Salem and Atlanta will be exited for all non-customer facing teams. Only client facing groups /bankers wll remain. The timeline is determined by lease end dates. However building exits have happened in both markets over the last few years, with teams consolidating into the remaining buildings. Most non customer facing teams in these cities have been told by their groups the end is coming.
WIM and some corp banking people are the exception. They rake in profits and location strategy doesn't apply at all. I presumed the OP was talking about everyone else.
The tower isn't closing any time soon. Lease goes out to 2029. However, that doesn't mean individual groups won't be laid off in the meantime. They'll probably just downsize and groups like CB and WIM will be able to stay for the foreseeable future.
Neither of the historic Wachovia co-hubs, Atlanta and Winston Salem, will survive Shart. It's a matter of time.
