Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Wave Good Morning To The AT&T People On Your Way In

Here in Bedminster we have been 5 days a week since January 1st with LAN and badge swipe monitoring. When I was hired I was told 0 days a week, than it went to 3 days and than it went to 5 days. All in the space of a few months. Our area has had roughly 30%-40% attrition. People are finding jobs and leaving.

Take heart though - they want you in 5 days, so be it. That doesnt mean you have to ki-l yourself if you are in the office. They dont understand that if people can waste time in the office no different than at home.

Wish you all luck, because it appears all these companies are copy catting each other.

@cp a lot of those people were designated "future office worker". Some have already been told their job is moving to Dallas. They are taking a phased approach to mandating moves, because they have to hire in Dallas to shift the work of people not willing to move.

@cp people at VZ also get switched from hybrid to home based all the time which is why they can’t enforce anyone coming in with their new orders. Favorites get what they want and the rest of us are told to come in the office.

guy down the street from me is with ATT and has been going into Bedminster 5 days a week for last 2.5 years. No family, though, and he seems to like it; he has said that he's retiring at 65 in 8 months so, he probably played it right with them

I personally know ATT employees that were switched from hybrid to home based 100%.
