Challenging work will rarely drive hard working employees to resign…But poor leadership and unbearable workplace cultures will always have people walking out in droves

First, if something is "visual,' why would you share it on a platform that can't support graphics. And second, details matter. It's not a meme, by definition, whether you can see it or not. 'Inspirational' quotations aren't memes.
Calling that a meme is like GenZ calling anyone over 35 a boomer; it just makes the user look stupid.
"That's not a meme."
Since you did not see the original context you really don't know. All you see is what the OP shared with you. So, the OP copied a quote from a meme. Why pick nits?
That's not a meme.
Touchy-feely quotation but not a meme.
"No offense, but way too many people here stick around"
Had I known last summer that we were going to 5x, I would have taken the severance last fall and been done.
"When the market turns, and it will, those of us with no pension will be piling out of here."
That is the danger in creating a toxic culture. The company will eventually leave itself short staffed. Of course, Stank can retire at any point too. so when things get rough I am sure he will leave.
No offense, but way too many people here stick around no matter what and that’s why we get treated the way we do. Waiting on that package, pay me to leave, want to get 1-2 more years before retiring (said the same thing every year for 5+years). I get some are waiting on Medicare to kick in, but for those eligible, I have no idea why those people aren’t putting in their notices and walking out. I get those of us in our 40’s and 50’s having a hard time finding something else. Notice not many younger people here anymore. 20s and 30s get picked up quick. I’m late 40s and the youngest person in my group. I’ve been searching for a new job for over a year now and only had a few interviews. During the covid hiring spree my phone was blowing up and d-mb me stuck around. Job market is trash right now, but I keep looking. When the market turns, and it will, those of us with no pension will be piling out of here.
It will be interesting. Obviously, AT&T is concerned about things since they continue to lay people off and they have put a hiring freeze in place. 5x will be fully implemented before the end of July and CRES is actually below the "industry standard" in seat assignments. Chaos is is coming.
Leave today. I need a desk and a parking spot
"And yet you stay."
This will be my last job. Waiting on the severance and then I turn in my tool belt and ride off into the sunset.
I’m leaving, will announce my retirement to be in mid July, had enough of this insane asylum! T is nothing more than a manufacturer of ill will, lacks integrity, breeds a culture of discontent and disrespect and views loyalty as cancer to the company’s bottom line! Shame on AT&T C-suite!
I stay (and complain) because the jobs out there for my skillset just doesn't pay as well as AT&T.
