Most managers were working 50+ hours a week, and were willing to put in weekend time to get the job done. That has all gone away . . . in office requirements, tracking hours, no credit for work down outside the offie. Most people are putting in the 40 hours and leaving, and not caring what happens when they leave.

This wouldn’t help alleviate capacity issues. Instead, 4-day weekends would return with many employees consistently out of the office Mondays and Fridays with limited work and unreachable again. T can’t afford the return to this pattern of abuse impacting productivity.
