I know some people are still refusing to RTO full time. I envy them. I wish I could take that risk, because I absolutely hate my job now, but I have to play it safe to avoid being laid off. If you’re still WFH, have there been any repercussions so far? Any warnings?

I know of two people let go for non-RTO compliance. They will not tell them why they were let go, obviously then were not coming into the office and both met MR 75 with 30 plus years.
Don't worry. We are about to deploy mechanisms to get the RTO-Haters back in the office or off the payroll.
I was forced out last year. I have always lived 2 hours from the office - and was hired under a 2 day office, 3 Remote. I made it for 22 years. Last year I was forced to retire. So I do believe there will be terminations or forced retirement this year.
They wanted Voluntary attrition based on RTO, but they are not meeting the numbers. I have moved last year and coming to office 3 to 4 days for 8 hrs still got surplused yesterday. So surpluse is for everyone not for people refusing to come
I work at a call center so I’ve never worked from home, but my supervisor is supposed to be in office every day as well- she comes in for 1 hr and leaves, this is everyday . The other supervisors comply with RTO, I guess my supervisor don’t care . 🤷♀️
I have. A trusted source told me of a guy
Prove it, HR shill.
But you can get paid for griping about RTO gripers? Look in the mirror before you act like a fool.
“I have. A trusted source told me of a guy who was coffee badging every day. He would come in, spend 30 minutes or so just hanging out and conversing, then leave and work from home. Eventually, he was interviewed, terminated, and walked out the door.”
Walked out the door for what?
Working from home is permitted.
The person banged in and worked from home.
They fulfilled the expectation of 3 days in the office.
What’s the problem?
Literally no one ever said you had to stay in the office for 8 hrs.
This is on leadership for being so fckin stupid.
You want us to do something? Give us clear expectations in writing that apply to the entire company, or you can deal with how we interpret your ambiguous terms.
I’ll sacrifice my bonus to WFH. RTO costs more than the bonus anyway…
“Wrong…if you are not a bargained for employee your employment is at will meaning they can fire you for anything.”
So they can fire you for being g-y?
Which you clearly are.
I have not heard of a single person being punished for not RTOing.

“ I know people are still coffee badging and I know people who were spoken to by their direct manager, but nothing more.
Shoot, I just saw someone not report to their scheduled shift twice and nothing happened.
They just keep getting passes”
Not “showing up,” doesn’t mean non-compliance. Just because they don’t clear it with you first. Maybe they don’t tell you their reasons because clearly you like to gossip about all the people around you - on your team or not. Focus on yourself and your success. If they pass or fail, it is on them. All you can do is do your thing or file a formal complaint that your rights are not equal under a protected class. You pick.
"You should not be getting paid to gripe about RTO."
Who is getting paid to gripe about RTO? I want that job!
Stop with the RTO and just work. You should not be getting paid to gripe about RTO.
They will eventually sh00t a few prisoners to keep the others in line. Whether you are made an example of comes down to your actual value to the company. If you are one of the 20% who do 80% of the work, you are safe.
No bonus or no 2024 merit increase? the latter as I understand it... Some have been fired as well. With 5-day RTO mandate for most and the accelerated PIP (from 60 to 30 days), expect an increase in firings (= no severance) due to RTO non-compliance.
“I have been telling you for months NOTHING HAPPENS when you do not RTO. They do not have grounds to fire you for refusing to RTO.”
Wrong…if you are not a bargained for employee your employment is at will meaning they can fire you for anything. I know factually some not complying with RTO last year were in fact terminated. They will be reviewing data in the coming months and notifying out of compliance employees for termination
They can't do anything for non-compliance to RTO. Stay home.
"...NOTHING HAPPENS when you do not RTO."
Tell that to the many in E&O that got no bonus last year (and their direct supervisors). Because that absolutely "happened".
It’s all just leadership fearmongering. Nobody has been punished yet for refusing to RTO.

Those folks are going to get fired for cause, won’t be a severance or unemployment. Best thing to do is follow the rules and apply for something else externally like most others are doing. It could take a while to find something in this job market, but some folks are getting jobs. Best to use your network to get your foot in the door.
My layoff can't come soon enough! I'm really hoping to get a layoff notice cuz I'm ready to leave this company! There's just too much uncertainty within and it's way too much of a cluster!

They are adding floor space in Atlanta/dallas. They weren’t ready for 100%
Some people are still 3 days a week, under Legg organization. So no repercussions.
Terminations are coming.
