@te I honestly don't know about the formal communications. I will be standing by for that detail like everyone else.

RTO policy is for the old school dinosaur type management people who are getting kick backs from their buddies in the commercial real estate industry.

They would save a ton of money if everyone worked from home.

In this day & age with WebEx, Zoom, Teams, etc. ...... paired with VPN, home HSI, mobile hotspot as back up ....... big time savings on expenses ...... why would any company not embrace work from home unless management is getting under the table kick backs from commercial property owners.

@c2 How I wish this was true! They just built a brand new state-of-the-art Miami office building 😔. I fear that Miamians will not get the opportunity to WFH like you mentioned. They have set a date of 4/21 to have Execs fly in for a “christening” party. Send help!

If they want to cut expenses deeply, then make it mandatory to work from home. No office leases, utility bills, office maintenance, etc.

All the RTO supporters are going to be quite surprised.

There are REAL plans in work to have complete organizations work from home full time with the idea of reducing real estate space. Reduce and maintain conference room buildings for occasional face to face meetings. This is VERY real, with the trial organization (which is quite large) to start working from home 100% of the time the last week of March.

Apparently a study was done and it was determined that each employee office seat costs the company upwards of $9K EACH, now I am sure there is some fuzzy math with that number but all in all this is about expense reduction.

ok... bring on the haters! End of March is only a month away. Mark this post.

@OP amazing!! Unthinkable!!!!! Hereto, the corporation, in its entirety, is going through a massive reorganization, and right-sizing, for a lack of the better words, RIFs, and you are pondering about the RTO for the employees?????????????????

No RTO. DCB being instituted. Don't come back. Just don't. Continue operating as you have. The only difference with this policy is you wil no longer receive compensation monetary or otherwise. A win for the shareholders and your conscience if you have one.
