I worked at the Kmart Office and got laid off.

Just another day at Fiserv formerly First Data. Yank and rank in Amityville Horror style continues.
@cx Most likely few H1B's are on the list to go this week.. their pay packages aren't cheap anymore.
High base salary as required by law + benefits for the family + lot of immigration filing fees combined returns a low quality work to Fiserv.

@cw I can confirm for a fact multiple were laid off in my department. I think the rumors of this being a multiple round layoff scenario are probably true. I'm still expecting the big layoff to happen anyday now.
The good news is I think there’s a real chance this board is a weird role play and most everybody is completely safe.
Not trying to make light of it but I heard Aug 24. Then the week after. Then the Friday before Labor Day. Now it’s tomorrow.
Nothing seems to be happening. Only one person has claimed they’ve been affected and at this point that is weeks ago.
Maybe everything is ok?

@c0 If it is based upon how much they like you (or not), then it isn't random. No layoff is random. They are always based upon some set of parameters. Whether there's real thought applied to those parameters is a completely different question. Best of luck to all.

The tech sector is cooked. Find another profession asap you are never too old to reinvent yourself.

This is all crazy, They layoff the wrong people and the bottom of the cr-p, I mean the true cockroaches that roam Alpharetta survive - DW! if they do not get rid of him this round with the pile of HR issues mounding him... its all rigged. Which it is, but for once DO THE RIGHT THING! This Dud would not have survived in the Jeff era. Which yes he was hired under... for a tiny division has a VP that no one cared about!!!!
Um, they have let people go over the phone back in the day before Teams calls.
A BIG slash is in the plan for Alpharetta... scheduled to happen on Thursday and Friday..
If you are in doubt that you might get impacted, just abscond the office on those days. If you are not available in person, they can't fire you.. will have to wait..

@OP rumor or truth. You know what day specifically for BH location. My team more then doubled in past year
