I'm in a corporate department and the same here. More rumors of layoffs coming for us. Not unexpected in this new environment but morale is very low, and it's impossible to get folks engaged or motivated because they are still in fear of losing their jobs. Sadly, this is the new normal. Many will not be able to adjust, or simply burn out. But I don't think Chevron would be sad to see an exodus. Saves money and future severance payouts. In the meantime, hang on for dear life with crushing workloads and everyone in management thinks can be solved with "better prioritization" and AI.
Leadership will not support you, they only support the shareholders.
