Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

A culture of fear

The way some of these managers treat people is disgusting. They tear you down like it's sport. The atmosphere is thick with anxiety. FIS has no future if this is who's running the show.

I agree. What I’ve observed isn’t just strong leadership it’s control-driven leadership that’s actively shutting people down. The way some of Stephanie’s directs and SVPs speak to their teams has created an environment where people no longer feel safe contributing. They’ve stopped sharing ideas, stopped engaging in meetings, and stopped attempting to calibrate because the message explicitly or implicitly is clear: dissent isn’t welcome and alternative perspectives aren’t valued.

When leadership operates with an iron-fist, “my way is the only way” mentality, it doesn’t build alignment it builds silence. And silence isn’t agreement; it’s self-protection. That kind of one-way, authoritarian communication erodes trust, stifles innovation, and ultimately drives disengagement and attrition.
