Who came up with this. Like in real life, have you ever even had a chat by the fireside. If it doesn’t happen in real life, why would someone want to describe a meeting this way?

Fireside chats are mind numbing, nauseating sessions of egoistical talks by our executives. Word salads of mediocre buzz words that aren't even cool any more. While we rank and file have to multitask doing coding while listening to it, because unlike the executives, we have something due in two hours.
How much greenhouse gas does this meeting emit?
