Subscription Department getting noticed for lack of subscribers

And this is not going to help. Apparently, these people are not aware that many police departments don’t even respond to vehicle thefts, you are told to come into the police department to make a report. Sounds like desperation to appear like there is a subscription product there, The News didn’t even put it behind the paywall:

Correction: Ford's future depends on not alienating its customers and selling quality, affordable, and DEPENDABLE vehicles. The future of a car company isnt roping customers into a continuous subscription model. People actually dont like that. If this is going to be the case we might as well all subscribe to a ride share service like tesla is launching. Buy a vehicle, own a vehicle. Not subscribe.

Your lack of business acumen brings everyone down a level. Please refrain from talking on matters of which you are uninformed....Junior. Step aside and let the adults run the business. Its about time, look at the mess you’ve made of things.

@hy “SiriusXM reported revenue of $2.14 billion, a 2 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2024, and net income of $205 million compared to $354 million a year ago. The fall in revenue was due to a $21 million reduction in subscriber revenue, according to the company.”

Total revenue after 23 years in business is still only $8.7 billion, at least about enough to cover Model e’s current rate of losses. Blue Cruise and $8.99/mo “secure” services will never get there.

BlueCruise has been a tremendous success. Ford Pro suite has as well. These are just the beginning.

Look how long SiriusXM has been active as a subscription service. It is clear that Ford's future financial success hinges on our subscription model and offerings.

@d8 Blue Cruise was the only one I knew of before this. Allegedly there are over a million BlueCruise-equipped Ford/Lincoln vehicles on the road globally, but I’m sure most are not paying after the “free trial” (paid for by Ford Marketing so there appears to be revenue) ends. Nowhere near Farley’s claim that Ford Pro would hit $1B in software sales this year.

Subscribe to the car. Something you bought to drive. Listen to yourselves. BMW tried to to this and make people pay a subscription for your heated seat. Complete BS. These mid-wits just don't understand. There is an affordability crises with vehicles, and people actually have to be able to afford to not only buy these things, but (right now) relentlessly fix them now. How much are you willing to pi$$ of your customers before they stop buying your product altogether? Stop listening to the MBA bros that keep telling you how they think the numbers should go up. Make a 20-50 year business plan for the company instead of semi annual re-orgs that sweep the rug out from under people trying to get ACTUAL work done. What about this don't you get?

First we must define the "subscription acquisition process" (SAP) based up on improper assumptions unrelated reality, then build up an organization to manage this process. Then we will be fine. :)

It's a falsehood. I work at Ford in Model e and have never heard of these claims regarding our plan for total revenue driving profit, these claims regarding subscriptions do not happen in real life. We are all family in Ford as leadership has discussed at every Global Town Hall that has been held and have been on the same page regarding driving profit. Like others in this thread said, I don't even know what is being discussed. Subscriptions are expected become a growing revenue force and it takes time to build up the number, but it’s like a snowball. You have to let it roll before you get discouraged. Let the good times roll.

@bc it’s kind of fun tho like being in handcuffs on the curb like a dog? It’s interesting because you can see the sky turn from light to dark to justify the unlawful stop

I remember when a groyper lady hit my car at school and I went to my schools police department about it, I heard nothing back despite them having cameras in that parking lot. I think the police were groypers too so they weren’t sympathetic to my cause. To be honest I was d-mbfounded by the whole situation because the lady that hit my car was confronted by me and her reaction to it was “honey, drive a lexus”. She subscribed to the belief that since her car was a Lexus and apparently of more value, that hitting my car meant that I would be the one in trouble. I mean she was totally right, because when I went to the police thinking I would get justice, I totally left holding the bag. So I guess subscriptions do work.

First year free, which means zero revenue so far. Next year, it takes a whole bunch of $8.99/month just to cover the general managers excessive salary. Hopefully this won’t cost us $200 million to shut down like Canopy Security LLC did.

Instead of just making this part of the base price for security, they charge you? All it takes is 1 person to change their mind on purchasing a F150 because of security concerns, to pay for this addition for everyone. Greed!

I thought Ford Secure was shut down.i guess the surprising thing is that CM is still collecting a paycheck with their record of zero success.

All u need is your iPhone, a $50 dash cam and a $25 air tag. No monthly fee and you always know where your vehicles are. Air tags are great in luggage, too.
