Does his name start with a P?
Gossip should be a fireable offense. It creates a hostile work environment!
If you find it necessary to come to a layoff site and ask this question, you need to go back to 6th grade. Grow up!
your prolly the one running around your store gossiping all the time
its slander ... he talks about a old manager who got canned for a dr-g problem ..
Boy, glad to know it’s not only me, managers & associates all gossip in my store & I do my best to just stay out of it. I go in, do the work I’m there to do & go home at the end of my shift. I don’t even eat in the break room, I go into the mall & eat & take my breaks there. That break room is gossip city in my store as I’m sure it is in others.
I work on a leadership team full of gossips and I’m the one who avoids it. I haven’t seen anyone get fired for it yet.
@bv Not really. Some people like to ask for advice, and my advice is to submit an HR case. As a leader, you must uphold a high standard. Leaders, in particular, should always remain professional and not Gossip LOL This is part of the reason Macy's is failing - poor leadership and putting people at the wrong positions.

Is the gossiping defamation? Or even slander?
If yes you might have a case
