I wonder how much they spent on the culture survey? It is now very obvious that it painted a very different picture than they were expecting. Not a peep about it. They have buried it deep to never be revealed. I would hope at some point someone with the data will leak the info.
We all know what it revealed.
- That we have no leadership.
- Our leadership is gutless and without any ingenuity.
- They have no care about the company, but only themselves.
How we continue to have town halls and such with AVP's, VP's, and on up cheering us on and touting our "progress." What progress? We (at least in my world) are more behind than ever. We are working shorthanded due to losses in headcount. The new programs and tools being pushed out that are barely usable and causing major process issues, all while we are being told to "be agile." Agile now means BOHICA. Seriously.
I don't mind coming to the office. I don't feel it is beneficial, but I did it for years before. But, being told it's because of collaboration is a load of cr-p. Just tell me to come in and that is the rule. Don't sugarcoat it with some stupid reason that we all know isn't needed. Most of us work in locations with no team members. Therefore, collaboration is still happening on a teams call.
I know I can leave if I don't like it. So can you. But the point is most of us are "invested" in this company. Years and years of pouring ourselves into a career which many of us thought we would retire from. It is disheartening. Sad really. The executives do not care about you. No matter how much fluff they spout, they don't. Just remember that each day. Do your work, do it with pride. But know, they don't care. No more extra to give.
