I saw a job in Chandler AZ that I used to do in Sioux Falls Sd and thought I would see if they had the same in Sioux Falls (as last I recalled everyone was getting fired there and since then they hadn't been filling those open seats...) sure enough they were hiring for the job but no indication on if it was for 1 or multiple openings for that job. Someone said there was talk about bringing Sioux Falls back. Anyone know anything about this at all? I would hate to come back just to get displaced. I am desperate for work and I have to put my feelings about WF aside for now.

Both SFs can expect to continue us to lose people. Many groups dropped them from core cities.
Wells Fargo Bank N.A. HQ is in Sioux Falls, not San Francisco. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage HQ is in Des Moines. Wells Fargo Advisors HQ is in St. Louis. Wells Fargo Capital Finance is or was headquartered in Atlanta.
You have to understand there are multiple subsidiaries of Wells Fargo & Company. These subsidiaries have different HQs.
Over 1000 people there now. Yeah, this could be a handful in a small leased office somewhere, just to keep the 'HQ' in the state. It's a matter of time. Are they even hiring there anymore? If not, it's the beginning of the end. Ask me how I know.
Yeah, but that doesn't require a bunch of people being assigned there in an admin building. That's the problem.
Thanks to all for commenting but that raises 2 questions. Which LOB's? Ive been gone over a year and not sure whats all changed. Secondly, thought HQ was in California, not SD- did it recently move?
No. There are tax and regulatory reasons why Sioux Falls is a preferred location for banking HQ. Many banks have their HQ there.
You can change that, it's not a problem. It'll close. Just a matter of time.
Sioux Falls is going nowhere. It’s the HQ of Wells Fargo Bank N.A., the primary subsidiary of Wells Fargo. It’s where the bank is chartered.
Negative, is a core site for a few groups.

No. Sioux Falls is a core site for certain LOBs now.
