It is true that FTE U-band software engineers at Nike can generally secure competitive base salary + 15% bonus target. If they join Amazon, Apple, Google, or a host of others, however, they can obtain the above, as well as a sizable equity component. In fact, many of these compensation packages exceed director-level E-band compensation at Nike.
Nike's compensation practices are not consistent with its stated goal of hiring world-class digital talent.
