Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Dec 2025

As per the original plan, I believe everyone should be moving to hubs by second half of 2025, regardless of space constraints.

I am envisioning letters may roll out anytime during June or July for the next set of folks in other non-hub cities.

Directors in non hubs are being let go already and given final dates for this year end. I am not sure what is the fate of Virtual employees and those locations that are business as usual at this time.

Ok so all is going to plan. Get to your hub and get terminated. Yup, just like Stink planned it - nice place to call home.

June/July timeframe with off payroll before end of 3rd quarter seems likely.

"inconsistencies in RTO means “it all depends on who you know”.

Is this your first job?

@bj The people that moved to the hub cities in the Torretta organization were the first to go. The last two waves were in office people was my understanding. I personally had a family member affected, and all the virtual office are safe and told that things will get better in the second half of the year. Legg was apparently all talk when it came to getting people together to collaborate.

You all still believe all the lies about getting to a hub? WTF. Wake up and smell the coffee. No one is safe. It’s all lies from Stink and his minions. Get the fu-k out as fast as you can. ATT is the biggest cluster in the hub!

Just because you live in a hub city doesn’t make you safe either. They could lay those employees off to make room for those who would like to move out there. Either way, it’s a really messed up process considering they hire thousands and thousands of contractors.

You chose to stay when AT&T announced the RTO initiative in the spring of 2023. That was a better time to start searching.

We were told TEN years ago to get to a hub. It blows my mind that we have any L3+ outside of a hub. And the Legg organization has numerous L3+ working from home! The inconsistencies are maddening.

Each org is doing their own thing so I do not expect a company wide plan.
