Is there going to be any reorg or SAP layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Do you mean Strategy & Operations team that was newly formed under Sebastian?
I'm confused. Didn't Thomas say no layoffs planned, but we have the German council saying there's gonna be a layoff in q1?
No Ops teams were consolidated under the CFO.
So let's re-cap...
They announce a major re-org during the 2nd week of January... and also the new 3 days per week in the office policy...
The return to work thing is mean to get people to quit because they want a RIF but don't want to pay severance...
But they're also going to layoff 15,000 people in the 3rd week of January.... the week after the big re-org... the week after announcing a policy that is designed apparently only to force people to quit...
So... are they expecting to people to quit over RTO in one week?
Or... maybe... you lay off 15,000 people... then re-org... and as part of the wonderful mess you leave after the layoffs and re-org you further put the fear of God into people by implementing a RTO policy.
So, dear friends.. which scenario makes to all of you?
Where are people hearing this 15000 rumor other than on this site?
Many companies need to lay off due to optimizations from AI. The market is expecting it. See what google and IBM did. It is comming.
I heard the 15,000 rumor as well. Maybe some truth to it.
Layoffs coming for operations teams that were just consolidated under CFO office
Any sources or just fear mongering?
"The layoff number is 15000" -Citation? Orgs/ teams affected? 15000 seems awfully high. I've seen 3000 floated around due to the workers rights council rumors, but 15000?...
The layoff number is 15000, and in the 3rd week.
Can anyone explain what Thomas meant by "trigger the need for an immediate ad-hoc to the market".
When the board has 100% finalized any layoff planning, they must do an immediate announcement because such a decision will have an impact on the stock price, i.e. this is a rule imposed by the stock exchange.
In other words, as of today, there is no planning of layoffs, or the planning has not been concluded. I guess it is the latter...
Can anyone explain what Thomas meant by "trigger the need for an immediate ad-hoc to the market". I heard this in the call as well, but didn't actually understand if this was supposed to give us any clarity or if it was just a jumble of words that mean nothing to make us feel better?....
'what were the BU changes announced? any other impactful changes?' - too many to follow
what were the BU changes announced? any other impactful changes?
'Any idea when the financial results would be announced?' : 24th January
Any idea when the financial results would be announced?
Last time we had layoffs, they denied they were happening until the very moment. I personally still don't trust their word, as much as I would like to.
lay offs will be announced together with financial results
So no layoffs. Thomas said in the engineering all-hands that layoffs would trigger the need for an immediate ad-hoc to the market, which did not happen.
The reorg email was followed by tons of emails. Took a while to understand all the diplomatic clauses and who goes where…haha.
A lot of BU changes, but no news or signs of any upcoming layoffs, at least for now.
So seems like new changes/boards and pledge-to-flex approach change (hybrid model 3 days of work from the office/onsite/customer, 2 days home office)
Email just came through.
seem today Tuesday
Reorg in the business unit doesn’t necessarily mean a layoff. It may or may not happen. Hoping for the best!
The org is most probably Product & Innovation (P&I). Need confirmation from more sources.
announcement expected very soon
.....I am still checking on that......will get back to you once I have something......
Which organization is that, if it's not too much to ask?
It seems to be a BU internal reorg, not HC related.
Post from TheLayoff.com
Email didn't came on Sunday but apparently it would during this working week.
Which organization is that, if it's not too much to ask?
My skip manager has set up a "mandatory team meeting" for Tuesday... Based in Germany
Was supposed to be this Sunday based on the below I reckon.
So… which Sunday, exactly, was this mysterious communication supposed to be distributed?
Is the announcement on Sunday going to be an early retirement package? Are there any details you can share?
Rumour has it official announcement to happen on this Sunday, with a major reorg and the departure of a prominent SVP.
...let me check on that...
