Thread regarding 3M layoffs

And so the redundancies continue ..

You would think after the genpact announcement there would be some more stability, but nope .. they have been quietly making more people in every country redundant. Mind you, these are people with 10-25 years worth of specialised knowledge with essential roles who are being let go… only to keep the people who still don’t know what they’re doing. Seriously what the actual f*ck are wrong with these people and decision makers ?!

Again, everyone is now on edge wondering whether they will get the tap on the shoulder next, especially with all the extra focus on introducing AI and the global standardisation project for OTC (sounds like we won’t have any customer service in the future, only AI bots). I feel bad for all the customer service teams I’ve worked with over the years in EMEA, they truly work hard for their customers and now they are being forced to hand over what they do day to day for their customers to a database.

BB needs to f*ck right off please. Hope this all back fires in his face.

@az He is getting paid, sure. He is not creating value. Saving pennies, creating mess, RIP 3M

@OP More reductions are coming. Leaders are holding closed door meetings evaluating each person under them in detail. Some people are complaining about promotions in the employee survey but instead should be worried about their job getting eliminated or moved to India. Bill Brown isn't trying to build anything, all he cares about is stock price linked to his personal wealth. He just doesn't care about the long term.

Have any HR or finance roles been replicated in India?

Anyone know anything about the ‘transition plan’? Seems to be effecting customer service in all countries including us in US, however BG’s making all the calls. Our team here feeling in the dark, but what’s new hey? Don’t remember the last time we felt we had job security, as long as the shareholders are happy.

We have a bunch of 55yo+ who worked long service in local factory. Many of us are eagerly waiting for the severance package.

The Billy L3 Harris playbook in action, eliminate older experienced workers in favor of cheaper alternatives.

BB is being paid handsomely in excess of $20,000,000 per annum to create value for its shareholders. He doesn't bother about employee morale.
