At Exxon mobile, we are still spending lots of valuable time money and energy perfecting the wheel.
ExxonMobil has been ordered to pay £267,000 ($361,000) over five hydrocarbon leaks at its ethylene plant in Mossmorran, Scotland in 2018-19 - each the result of "woefully inadequate" maintenance of insulated overhead pipework found to contain widespread corrosion, according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). In a scathing response to the verdict last week, HSE inspector Lindsey Stein said Exxon's behaviour "beggars belief".
PSMS or LPS or other BS... or SCAN and BBSO... All it is = time waste that turns a 10 min job into a 10 day job because of amount of paperwork and approvals you need to go through to get a job done... But every big O&G has something similar boyz, it's not just XOM.

If you think the useless safety programs they put in place actually help anyone you apparently have never worked out in the field. All they do is put hardworking people in a negative mindset which will make it more likely they get hurt, and for the majority of people that work here that are lazy they get to use it as an excuse not to do anything.
@ah I am saddened to hear you think our outstanding safety program(PSMS) is useless, the corporation spent large sums to create and deploy this great program.

We hire the cheapest contractors now so what would you expect. I would not be surprised if I opened my Webcat and see mandatory Spanish lessons to be part of my curriculum.
We have also pushed for DEI hiring and promotions amongst our own ranks. We have also been pushing NSI on our older employees. You know the ones with all the experience. As it turns out they can leave when they want to. What a great strategy.
Yes Virginia. Even PSMS can not stop what is coming our way.
People will continue to get hurt now that they have all of these useless safety programs in place instead of training people correctly and then holding them accountable when they do things unsafely.
@OP we don’t have injuries, you’re confused. And if someone doesn’t follow PSMS and gets injured it’s not recorded
