I see so many comments from people who have left WFC and were so glad to get out. My question is - Why are you here? If you’re out and so happy in your new digs, why the he-l would you be spending time here reading the posts and talking about it? Naturally, everything on this forum should be taken with a grain of salt, but really... Why would there be so many “freed captives” spending time here?

I am happily collecting my severance check and like keeping in the loop of whats going on. Who knows, I may apply for a job at wf when the check runs out.
Also having spent over two decades at wells checking in here once and awhile is a way of slowly letting go. My job was a big part of my identity.
Cos I still know lots of people at Wells and want to know who may have been impacted. Yes I could keep asking them directly, but that’s depressing and I don’t want to stress them out even more.
Also I was laid off, but eventually found a job that I like. So if my experience can add value to a conversation about post-layoff stuff… cool.
I don’t participate in other stuff. There’s enough negativity on Twitter, who needs more of it?
@awa You are wrong and the poster is correct. It's like comparing apples to oranges (even though these two are considered fruits). They are not related. Working at WFC you have a choice to voluntary leave. To compare it with cancer where you are pretty much doomed to forever live with or live in the shadow death it is incorrect. Poor use of deflection on your part also.

You’re getting all worked up over someone who used a juxtaposition to illustrate their point. In other words, you are making a mountain out of a molehill, which is another example of a juxtaposition.
Don’t come after people and then get self- righteous about it when someone criticizes you for it. Or I guess you can, but it’s not a good character trait.
Apparently I'm the only one here that does. Everyone else thinks a JOB is "cancer". If that's true, _-#+$-+_ quit. You know what you can't quit? Actual cancer. I hope you never have to find out the truth, that the worst job in the world is nothing by comparison. This job is sooooo bad that you choose to keep doing it even though there's millions of other options. If you have a "heart" and a "soul" and really believe that your current job is sooo bad, you'd apply for one of those jobs and leave, and yet you choose not to. You apparently don't even have the "heart" to care about yourself.
Because its entertaining as f-k and validates why I left.
Its like watching a company receive full karma for its screwups.
I'm in the process of leaving (already have a start date) and agree with the guy who said it's like watching a car crash. Also the racist posts here make me glad to be going.
People come here for the same reason they slow down to gawk at fiery wrecks on the freeway.
I left already too, but it’s like in junior high when a fight breaks out - you want to see what’s going on from afar
I am one of those people. I love my new job and am glad I left Wells.

Yes, cancer and a job are pretty much the same thing. Good lord. I take it you haven't had cancer.
For many, it is cathartic to voice their pleasure at finally escaping the WFC experience. To voice their happiness and relief to be rid of such a bad experience helps to validate that it is now a reality and no longer a prayerful wish.
Just think if you had a cancer and learned you were totally free of it, never to return, would not you rejoice to the heavens?
