Complete disconnect

It's wild how disconnected senior leadership is from the actual day to day. They sit in their meetings looking at spreadsheets and making decisions that have nothing to do with how things operate on the floor. Meanwhile, the people who actually know what's going on are put on ignore, and then they wonder why their grand plans never work out.

@f9 I’ve heard a few say how they are having to take 401k loans so they can afford the waste of the Melville trip. It’s not necessary whatsoever.

Meetings took place in Melville today that included directors. Can you say disconnect? They are having meetings with directors who are not part of the sales cycle and manage like it was 2005. They have no idea of today’s customers as their experience has now dwindled and they are only as good as the sales managers they manage.

Talk about a useless meeting. Let’s fly everyone in and waste money. Meanwhile I just used more WC to ensure the company wins the deal and they only have to pay me 2%.

Does that sound right to all the sales reps who can’t make GP anymore because the pricing they set purposely high excludes you from making money here?

It’s all about quantity, not quality.
They preach efficiency, yet all the tools they provide make you less efficient. They boast a 4 million dollar savings by switching to Google. Unfortunately, it takes 2 to 3 times longer to do anything.

This once great company is now operated by sheets and slides ( ode to Google ). Leadership is not concerned with anything but numbers and the fluff that goes with it to substantiate those slides.
Products are not being developed to set our company for future success nor the employees success. If leadership existed we would not be in the situation we are in now.

Failure and kissing behinds are the keys to success, not achieving goals and hard work. Those who know how to milk the system win. It’s the good ol’ boys club mentality. If you are an hourly worker or below the Director level, you are basically SOL. You will never move up the food chain.
