Modem business loss is already priced in into the current stock price, so no, they already know it. Plus last earnings was beat and raise despite knowing contracts are going to lapse.
They could have sold the modem to Apple dirt cheap though... better than nothing.

Investing too much in India has been a disaster for Qualcomm.This strategy made Qualcomm as a commodity company, not a technical power plant. Bad decision and movement.
