Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Any engineers out there who can tell us how to check for sapience?

I tried googling it, and it’s either too general or too specific. it looks like their stealth mode is hard to find.

I do have to chuckle at this. You're supposed to be in the office collaborating, but if you're collaborating, you're not typing, which will make you look bad in Sapience.

Perhaps everyone needs to have mouse-jiggling collaboration meetings.

@bt the "leaf" symbol has nothing to do with sapience. that's a windows thing, indicating that the process is running in "efficiency" mode.

I reached out to tech support and they clarified that Sapiens data collection has been turned off and the software is being removed over the next couple of weeks. So monitoring has already stopped for employees that work in an office.

I could not log into Sapience and didn’t see Leaf anymore. Email did say by 6/13

Leaf agent... Gaslighting much? That thing drags the whole machine down to a crawl, burning more electricity, generating ton of waste heat and doing much less actual work. Very green, like the solar panels above the parking lots dripping muddy water all over your car when it rains.

I thought it was fairer when incentive not eligible employees to have one day WFH. This is now such a BS place to work. I only tolerate this until I land a new job.

Open task manager and you'll find Leaf agent under the processes tab

@as

Because management uses it to see if we’re typing on our keyboard for 8 hours a day and use it against if we aren’t. I’m sorry, as a software engineer I don’t just type all day to do my job. I spend time thinking, consulting with teammates which according to Sapience is the same as me taking a nap at my desk. It’s nonsense.

There is a process called LEAF running. You will also see connectors in outlook and teams. Look for a leaf symbol on processes

What does getting rid of Sapience accomplish if we still have to be in office 8-9 hours per day, 5 days per week?

Because it is not called sapience on our computers and not very hard to find
