That's the funny thing about it. Everyone in AA seems to think when other "location(s)" for tax are mentioned, they mean MSP. It's not. There isn't a lick of tax being done in MSP. Which is why it's odd that the head of Tax is in MSP. There are at least four other locations that Tax is being worked on inside of TR and three of them are just as large as AA and have been part of TR longer than the AA office.
AA damn sure doesn’t have the thanksgiving turkeys, luxury box at the stadium, the missing red Pyrex bowl, and such that MSP has.
"Tax & Accounting Professional Software division was the fastest growing and most profitable large business in 2018 in TR."
"Ann Arbor office does the lionshare of the TR significant work."
If either of these were the case, then leadership wouldn't have literally gutted AA. No sane person in management is going to cut off a leg like that. Either that or TR prefers large margins on corporates and firms over small/medium businesses. The math is in there somewhere. Outside of Onvio and Ultratax, what was in AA? Those two products alone don't account for a lions share of TR Tax business or work as a whole and oddly enough some of TR's corporate tax offerings overlap into the professional market and always have.
Make no mistake, I firmly believe that if AA was profitable and as great as everyone says, TR should definitely have kept it intact and kept expanding business there. However, something on the magic spreadsheet must not have added up for them. So there has to be a completely different side of the story that AA people don't know about or are in denial about.
Ann Arbor office does the lionshare of the TR significant work.
I really do not think that JB "chose" to leave Tax & Accounting. Firmly believe he was forced out so new management could be brought in. Another blunder by upper management of TR. There were others force out before him, like the head of the support department. Found out about this website from a post he made about the shortsightedness of the new Tax & Accounting managment.
Pretty funny responses here by ignorant people. Apparently there a lot of people that are not aware that the Tax & Accounting Professional Software division was the fastest growing and most profitable large business in 2018 in TR. The end of December of 2018 is also the date that the unit CEO selected as his exit date after 21 years running the business. In all those years, the unit never had a non-growth year. Those years obviously include the internet bubble, and the financial crisis of 2008/2009.
I think we all can see the disaterous business impact of "leaders" put in place over the last 5 years.
AA still exists? People don't know that most of the Tax business isn't and never was in AA?
I wouldn't think the AA office is going anywhere. Tax & Accounting training, support, sales and analysts are still there. If AA goes, I think Tax & Accounting software will die.

Does anyone know if they are going to Sturgis again this year?
So they supposedly have a biking retirement program. Your point is what?
Can you provide more context? I honestly would have guessed that AA office would have been shut down a long time ago
???
I’m innAA and have no idea what you’re talking about. Care to elaborate?
