Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Any more layoffs in 2025?

Hi everyone. Just curious if anyone has any tea to spill about the upcoming layoffs this year. Rumor has it there are more coming in November…

Cisco filed a WARN notice for October... if I recall correctly it's for another ~200 people

@ad

Sell off SVG

It would be too embarrassing for the ELT to have to receive bids for 10% of what Cisco poured in to this black hole

@ar Ah Rubbish, Cisco has been firing for 25 years now....

Job market su-ks so there is always plenty of young Woke group folks ready to join..

Nothing changes...the Hunger Games continues...
And as always the id--ts who cut-off Cisco from being the next Amazon or Google instead into being the next IBM always get promoted...

I used to root for my coworkers, rage against management etc...but the degree of laziness and stupidity I witness on a daily basis has finally turned me.

Now I want to rage fire all of them with vindictiveness. I don't care if they miss mortgage payments and lose their homes. I don't care if their disabled kids don't get medicine. I don't care if they have to live in their cars. FIRE THEM ALL. These people need to not just leave tech, but leave the economy. Cisco's culture of sloth has finally turned me into Mr. Burns from The Simpsons.

Even if there are not layoffs, the precedent has been set. The uncertainty is high. The stress is off the charts.

Productivity suffers when the Cisco ELT creates a "Hunger Games" scenario.

They believe they are applying positive pressure on the troops when in fact they are sowing discontent, malaise and the seeds of their own future demise.

Everyone in my management chain in SBG didn’t explicitly deny it. Not a vote of confidence.
