I am so sick of being struck with worry every Sunday of Monday being the next day. This job has become unbearable and it isn't so much the work but the leadership that is breaking us!! I'm praying that RIFs are coming and that I will be selected. 10 weeks severance will be long enough to find another job, I am all for it. I had a coworker commit su----e and the big reason she had been depressed was this job. How sad is that!!!!!

@OP I know someone who did the same in my region. She was so fed up with this job and she ended her life over it. This was after a major reorganization and two regions merged
So sorry to hear this. But please do take care of yourself. This is totally not worth it, not at all. You can make these je-ks really happy if you play along. Some of them actually get a kick out of flaunting their so‑called ‘superpower’—but only when you let them. Have a great Monday!
What a horrible tragedy. I have no insight into the circumstances surrounding the passing of anyone at Humana, actually nobody here does as what goes on behind closed doors...
You are not in control of what Humana does or doesn't do. But you are in control of your own life and happiness, how you respond to things, and what you do or do not do. I would suggest that you evaluate what your options are and act your own best interest realizing you have zero control over what happens at Humana, which is what is causing you your stress. It su-ks for some here while others love it. Do something to make yourself happy and stop letting "someone" else influence you in what seems like a very unhealthy way.

@ap what is wrong with you? You seem like the dream Humana employee, cold hearted with no empathy. People can't afford to just leave their jobs.
What are your friend's initials and/or what department? I also had a friend who was very depressed from this work and completed su-ic-ide. Initials S.M. on the insurance side. Same person? I always thought her evil manager should have paid for it.

I’m sorry about your friend. Her family should be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit against Humana if there is documentation that her depression was work related. Shame on her leadership team!
