I’m on what’s left of a team (and I use the term very loosely at this point) that used to actually function, and now I’m basically drowning. If we ignore the fact I’ve lost coworkers who were like family, having to cover all their jobs with the few people we have left has all of us considering quitting, even without something else lined up. They expect too much of us.

who were like family,
Lol.
@an Perfectly encapsulates the trend at Cisco right now.
The environment is completely toxic. Very little communication from leadership and ICs are always the last people to get information on anything. Right now we are just slowly sliding down to the next LR (which management didn’t explicitly say we’re not going to happen in Nov). So that in combination with the rewards cycle being cr-p is just making me feel horrible. I just keep getting the sneaking suspicion that I’m getting sc--wed again. And this is on top of my team shipping lots of critical projects.
G2 is still here so they did not go as far
@an It seems you are very closed to someone like that..
Get on board with AI or prepare to drown
I’m drowning in work too. And my team is basically collapsing. So much wasted time with pointless meetings, sync ups, spread sheets, slide shows etc.
Frauds in Tech by Indians
They do all kind of frauds to get here:-
1) Fake degree, rigged certifications, fake experience certificates (Google search some areas like Ameerpet in Hyderabad, Similarly Pallavaram in Chennai and see what they do)
2)Fake income source proof, to show false networth for admission to US universities
3) While on OPT they will work ILLEGALLY in restaurants, grocery stores,Indian stores etc, which is NOT allowed legally
4) When on OPT-EAD they will apply to corporate positions saying no sponsorship needed in future, the fact is OPT-EAD is valid for 3 years only, so be CAREFUL of them
5) When they interview for a company, you will see their voice and picture is not in sync and they will mention network as an issue, but actually someone else is answering questions on behalf of them(via another device, google it)
6) When they join a company, no civic sense, no hygiene and they create a pack of their folks and you can see easily locate them, 10 to 15 of them moving together(no interaction or limited with others or Americans).
7) If they move to hiring manager level, they will replace each and every American/Others with Tamils and Telugus only(As i said, they stay in their packs and dont feel comfortable with others)
8)If they move even senior, their spouse will start a company and they will hire folks as consultants from their spouse companies, thus getting revenues for themselves on behalf of companies loss
9)Some of them also work multiple jobs, by outsourcing their jobs to India and being the middle
man (sharing their access, data control rules is alien for them)
10) When they go to watch movies, they will be most rude ones, creating lot of noise, making filth and creating mess everywhere
11)They are beyond time, will come late to office and will leave early.
How to identify them?
1)Dark complexioned and big word names(normally 3-4 words in their name say Murthi, ParakaJeet, Gagandeep, Ganesan, Padmanabhan, lyer, Reddy, Boila etc)
2)Mostly their packs are in cities such as Dallas (they call it now Dallaspuram), Raleigh, Chicago, Atlanta etc
3) Their favourite food is Idli, Dosa, Sambar, Biryani, Rice etc
4) Comes late to office, levaes early
I feel like there’s this feeling in the air all around Cisco that we’re all being worked to the bone compared to not even a few years ago.
