Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Chicago and King of Prussia Offices

I read that Chicago offices were going to close back in June 2023. Does anyone know what ever came of that? Did anyone relocate, was severance offered?

Any rumors about what is going to happen with the King of Prussia, PA office? Relos, closure?

I also wanted to mention if Fiserv starts laying off 50 or more associates of their workforce they need to provide you with a WARN notice. Please make sure you get this in writing and double check the dates of notification and your last working date to ensure they are legally complying. Also, do not sign agreements if you suspect discrimination especially for race, pregnancy status, and age. Please speak with a lawyer.

I wholeheartedly agree with another poster that said there is a reason why they made a lawyer the CHRO. This was intentional. This is the start of a storm.

The goal is to ki-l your team.

Encourage half the team to quit.
Use the remaining team members to keep the product alive for just a couple more years.
Keep all the money.

The real question is do you want to watch your years of hard work get destroyed in person, or do you want to hear about it later?

Chicago temp office closed in June ‘23 and they aren’t building a permanent location any longer. We all know that FB never wanted remote employees but what I don’t understand is that right after hundreds of us were told last week that we would be offered relocation packages, another meeting was held to tell hundreds more, they were staying remote. How is this even fair to the employees? No one is able to tell us how they decided who has to move and who gets to stay home and the majority of so many teams, we’re remote, long before Covid! Half of my current team will be gone when none of us choose to relocate to any COE. Unfortunately the clients are going to suffer along with the employees.

Severance doesn't play into the requirements of a WARN notice. However FB and crew can play with the numbers since a WARN notice is a complicated calculation of rifs per site in proportion to other site sizes and overall headcount.

If their actions are legal, theyre riding a line so tight they're bound to fall on the wrong side at some point.

Others are talking union, it might not be a bad idea to start that conversation in earnest.

@amj+1oEKfaxa how do we find out which COE covers which products? What if you work in Credit/Risk department which has no bearing on product?

Just trying to wrap my head around this. It's a lot of info.

There are no safe locations or positions. Unless you are on franks good old boy crony list, you're at risk.

It wouldn't surprise me to see some scenario where they shutter another locations and try to move legacy folks to BH, laying off underperformers there as things get worse due to lack of manpower, training, and any semblance of running a successful corporation.

I wouldn't trust anything right now that they say because it'll probably change pretty quick depending on the "numbers" and how stock price is. We're all pawns in this big investment scheme.

If you work at a "safe" location, but do not work on the correct product, you still are in danger of being let go.

Probably don't need WARN notice if severance is given, consult an attorney, this is not legal advice.

I don't believe warn is required as long as severance covers the warn period .
