Best of luck to you, my friend. We have some trolls and some others who are simply in a position where a pink slip is a good outcome. Personally, I would rate a decent severance, but I'm not in a position to retire, so a pink slip would be pretty devastating. I absolutely don't wish for it for myself, or for anyone else that isn't looking to get it. There's a lot of good people that post here, feel free to ignore the trolls and knuckleheads. Neither are representative of the population as a whole.
Don't know of any layoffs in my area / people I work with. Tech, non-core, non-specialty location.

@b3 CSBB has always been the most bloated LOB at WFC. They'll have a team of 20 working on the smallest tasks. Other LOBs will have two for the exact same thing. And they're all fairly senior positions, so it's not like they have 20 ops people. They'll have 20 senior leads.
Given the sheer number of replies on this, I'd say it was a pretty big day in both tech and business. It seems reasonable to assume the majority aren't reading or posting here.
Does everyone feel appreciated? Does that $2,000 make you feel better knowing you have some buffer to buy some groceries in 3 years?
