I've not been approached and am not interested, but in an SSO (part of COO) town hall three weeks back, KK said outright that non-hub folks will be let go and should start looking at hub jobs or relocating.
I'm assuming this is happening in other parts of the company, as well. Has anyone here been approached or inquired about relocating for Wells? I'd never do it, but I have my reasons. First, I don't respect or trust management, because I could still get laid off after moving, or they might change hubs on me. Second, housing in hub locations is much less affordable. Third, interest rates -- if you're buying/selling -- aren't that great. And fourth, relocating might mean a new job for a spouse or partner and uprooting children from their schools (Charlie didn't even do that).
For me, relocating is a non-starter, but under different circumstances (maybe if I were 20 years younger) I might consider it. I was wondering how frequently this is happening throughout the bank.
