Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

This page is getting attention!

I was in a leadership meeting today and this page was mentioned. Leaders are reading it and taking notes and it is driving them crazy that they cannot get information on who is posting. This company lacks transparency so lets make this page spark with all the secrets they don't want told!

@mw very similar experience here and it really does make you jaded. I never thought I'd experience such bullying and hostility at a company like Humana but they are the worst.

Love that these horrible bosses are talking about this site. Let’s see them sweat for a change. My former leader was so bad that the remainder of my working life will never be the same and I’ll never trust a leader or an organization again!

@OP I was Riffe'd a few weeks ago. Then I get this email that I'm eligible, (just barely), for the earlier retirement package. For that, I am thankful. I will take it because I'm already being pushed out the door and it affords me another month. However, with a son in college, a daughter in high school, I know life won't be the same for a while. I always received very good reviews from my direct leaders, was a team player and did everything I could to advance the organization. Humana has many great associates, they also have many, primarily in upper leadership, that must toe the line at the expense of others. We've spent millions on renovations, have made some seriously poor predictions with Stars and financial outcomes that have directly resulted in what's taking place right now. This has been my 2nd stint with the organization...Yes, I remember the days of Mike McCallister. Just like every organization these days, no matter what you hear, at the end of the day it's about $$ and you are just a number. I hope to rebound, that will be my focus, but I also know that's difficult in "middle age". I wish everyone faced with a similar scenario future success.

@OP disgruntled employees are a dime a dozen, but within the remarks are real issues. Nothing new here. Suggestions are rarely taken or they are looked upon as someone is not a team player. What happened to solid work ethics and loyalty? It's not a priority by many. Doing the same job in a different way and still getting no results. Making changes and causing upheaval every few months doesn't make a better product, a better outcome or a better work environment. It's all about the bottom line and those that really get hurt are the customers/patients.

@OP What do they care what we are saying anyway. They don't care when people get laid off. And I'm not speaking of the front line leaders, I feel like the majority of the front line leaders care, it's the ones making 250K or more that don't care. And if they think we don't talk outside of the Humana walls, they are insane. Although, this public site is excellent. I wish more people knew about it.
