1000% layoffs. The bill cuts hundreds of billions in safety net healthcare spending and messes with plans (less valuable to members) and premium subsidies (cuts them) to make people more likely to "opt out." Healthier people will walk away, leaving only the most sickly (think our Q1 MA snafu on steroids). This directly hits all sides of the house - and the payer/provider clients we sell to.

UHC - less reimbursement & fewer customers = less revenue
OH - fewer covered = fewer customers
OI/OA - belt tightening across the industry = less spend on us
ORx - DOJ is going to swipe that one administratively

@ah No they dont. They are planning a Covered CA for 1/1/27. Currently don't have one.

People can hate all they want, until they're let go and then cry about it on the very forums that warned them.

Sycophantic behavior is toxic, no doubt.

But hey..........DON'T STOP..........BELIEVING!!!!

Big time layoffs coming, trust me. 20% at most other places. Maybe UHG got ahead of it with all their big slash and burn, but they'll probably just use it as another excuse to lay more people off, because reasons.

UHC doesn't even have a Medicaid/Market Place contract. At least not yet.

If cutting off illegals from Medicaid and SNAP/welfare for those who refuse to work at all, then fine...lay me off, it's still a great LAW (now). But if you're referring to the CBO's usual gloom and doom regarding the cuts in the bill, keep in mind the CBO was originally installed by democrats and more often than not, they are flat-out wrong with theit anaysis. There have recently been discussions in Congress about not using any CBO reports going forward, as they are used to mislead constituents.
