Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

RTO or GO

You heard it. If you don't conform to RTO or currently remote then you will be cut. She said it herself "you have our full support to find other opportunities elsewhere". We knew this day would eventually come for the coffee badgers and complainers.

I did leave, and it was for a remote job, and I got a 35% pay bump. Easiest choice I ever made. You're not going to be able to hire good or even middle of the road employees if you don't offer benefits and pay to attract them. Brain drain will continue, processes and capabilities will continue to deteriorate, the bank will continue to unload assets, and eventually it'll auger in and be sold for parts.

I had a remote job at US Bank and they took it away three months ago. I legit applied for a remote position, and only took it b/c it was remote.

Hate RTO? Then go find a remote job.

I’ll wait ….

Oh, the new place wants you in FIVE days a week? Guess the 3 days at USBank doesn’t look so bad huh?

I love how the people who hate on RTO are in the crosshairs, yet the utterly incompetent senior managers who inconsistently and ineffectively executed the RTO strategy are safe. Had senior management done their jobs to begin with and been honest and fair about RTO, people wouldn’t still be talking about RTO two years after the fact. It might be nonsense, but the nonsensical part is how senior management executed RTO in the ham handed, dubious fashion they did. And yes, GK was part of that team.
