I wish I had a dollar for every time DEI gets randomly mentioned on this site. I could buy Frontier too. Frontier has been headquartered in TX since 2023, I'm pretty sure that was not a factor in any underperformance in that state but I'm sure it's just way easier to blame it on that than the overall competence of leaders in general to make sound business decisions.

https://www.investing.com/news/sec-filings/verizon-completes-acquisition-of-frontier-communications-triggers-nasdaq-delisting-93CH-4455624

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has completed its acquisition of Frontier Communications Parent, Inc. (NASDAQ:FYBR), making Frontier a wholly owned subsidiary, according to a press release statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The deal adds Frontier’s $9.6 billion market capitalization to Verizon’s portfolio.

The transaction closed Monday, resulting in the merger of France Merger Sub Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Verizon, with and into Frontier. Each outstanding share of Frontier common stock, except those already owned by Verizon or Frontier, was converted into the right to receive $38.50 in cash per share, without interest. This acquisition price represented a value very close to Frontier’s 52-week high of $38.50.

The Frontier network is a gigantic lemon. Chapter 11 bankruptcy, numerous CEO changes, and reorgs did nothing to to turn the company around. The network is old with very outdated equipment. Held together with shoestring and duct tape. The expertise needed to upgrade it left the building long ago. Verizon will go broke trying to fix it.

@OP An email from Dan Schulman just went out this morning at 9:42am (ET). Nothing earth shattering in there. Just acknowledging the close of the deal.

@OP would it make a difference if Schulman discussed this topic and its completeness?? Is it going to make the VZ stock price, currently below $39/share, to increase to $50/share??

Will Schulman offer any further insights, a vehement NO!

This current VZ CEO is the wrong man for the job!! VZ is a consumer-oriented company and not yet a technology company.

Schulman step-up!!!
