Severance is only guaranteed if you're on a write up!!

Yes. It's true. Come June 7th if you are on a written or final warning, you will given an end date and will be GUARANTEED severance. On the flip side, if you aren't on write up, and preference severance as your first choice, there is a chance you won't get it. There is a chance you instead get a position working for the company that is trying to pay off it's employees. The concern we all have with this is as follows. If we don't get severance and are otherwise forced to stay, the environment is going to be so awful that most will quit. Verizon is banking on this. Offer severance, then elect to keep the most expensive severance packages as employees and bank that they quit and get nothing. Why not just give everyone severance that doesn't want to stay? This smells likes a bait and switch. This smells like sh-t and I don't like the smell of sh-t. The company that we all used to be proud of is treating us as customer service wh--es. They are pumping us out over the next 6 months while behind the scenes they prepare to eliminate us entirely. Once they know that the vendor centers are staffed an trained, it's game on. What a sh-t show. What a failure. Hope your family is proud of you Hans. Because none of us here at Verizon think highly of you whatsoever. You are the reason we are failing. I wonder how big your bonus was this year? I bet it was more than most of us will make in our lifetimes. Why not cut your bonus? Reduce your own salary? How much do want to save the company? Clearly you're only focused on your own personal success than the success of your peers. You're disgusting and you're a failure.

Does anybody have the number for the compliance line? In Verizon's credo all they do is talk about integrity and ethics and here they are picking and choosing who gets to get severance. There's no way that that can truly be legal. I am looking at an employment lawyer if I don't get severance with high 10-year and leading performance.

Retail is not impacted. Only Customer Service. But who is to say that later down the road Retail won't be impacted. Higher ups have been revamped and more trainings are up ahead. All I can say is this ship is about to get rocky really fast.

This is NOT fake news. VZ is laying off at the same time as ATT. The difference between VZ and ATT is with ATT you have to live so many miles from either ATL or Dallas AND ATT is NOT giving any of their employees a package to move. It's all on the employees own dime.

VZ is NOT just laying off reps that don't want to work or are on write-ups. VZ is laying off altogether. Reps are the only ones getting the options. Sups and above have NO options. Sups already know their fate. They found out the day the pre-recorded video aired.

People need to speak up to there bosses and ethics Not HR they just love to spin things & are there only to help the company. You just need report to ethics something simple like how is the ceo allowed to sit on blackrocks board that controls a direct competitor Att. That my friends would be a conflict of interest for us and a separation from payroll. How is that allowed ?
