I have been remote with WF for many years and I've accepted RTO (while looking for another job), but having people commute after 2 years of not commuting is bad for the environment.
I'm no activist, but WF will say they have these lights or these recycling bins, or something to save the planet and they care. Oh and no printing. Really, that's all you got? They have an opportunity right now to have a real impact by eliminating a massive amount of carbon emissions through WFH, or by not keeping these massive buildings with electricity when no one is there or partially full. I wonder how much electricity was saved on no elevator rides alone. If you don't care, then say that. Don't continue to promote some BS going green initiative to people who are caking up the ozone layer by force because we work better together. That's a trick bag.
If you need proof, go back and look at pictures of Mumbai before and during the COVID lock down. Sky went from a chimney to clear. I understand WF alone cannot save the planet, but they can so much more. So anytime I hear about going green from WF, it's going to translate to "look at my left hand, don't look at my right hand."
