Why do we express so much hate on this platform?

Anyone posts about they got a new job here are faced with hate comments
We also hate JD, MN, HON and every EL team
We hate DEI
We hate those who come here to say they still enjoy their job
We hate those who are desperate to get out
We hate those who actually got another job

This place is full of miserable people who refuse to take any accountability, or do anything to rise above their circumstance.

Thats just what it is. Miserable people looking for other miserable people to validate their experience without having to acknowledge that they themselves could do something to better their situation.

This is not a place to hang out.

If you are compulsively about to downvote this, you are likely this person. Get yourself together. You’re embarrassing.

"You know DEI isn’t just about race, right…?"
it is precisely about white discrimination
you can disguise anyway you want but that is just sleazy

OP, The Truth always hurts. This site, thankfully offers a place to express the Nike experience (good or bad). It also provides a space to expose those that have built themselves and their careers at the expense of others. If you prefer to hold hands and sing kumbaya, this site is not for you, keep stepping and let those who want Nike insights understand what’s been happening to them while they suffered a toxic culture. It is also good to know our collective bad Nike experience is not unique to each of us individually.

This site is an outlet and echo chamber of frustration. I don’t understand how you can come on here and complain about the negativity. It’s a board mostly for people who have been laid off and are frustrated at the company… sheesh. Of course there are going to be strong negative emotions. Don’t enjoy it…? You can go to the Nike corporate website and related pages that’s filled with 100% fake positivity, if that’s what you’re seeking. What a d-mb and ignorant post.

“ It’s a reflection of what it’s like to work for Nike. Passive aggressive smile to your face and throw you under the bus at the first chance”

I would tip you for this comment if I could… so on point and captures the entirety of my experience here.

It has always been this way, even when Nike was doing well. Some people just love to spread misery.

"This company has been run into the ground by nearly an all white executive leadership team and board of directors for years and someone DEI initiatives in the past year are to blame?"

they are the sleazy incompetent ones that installed DEI at the behest probably of their majority shareholders and to bring in lesser competitors for their jobs

but you are free to create your own company or country that is successful although you haven't shown any evidence of being able to

Regarding DEI and minorities, this message board provides great insight into that unique brand of passive aggressive, white liberal racism. If you really want to see what lurks behind all of those fake, smiling white faces on campus, you need only look here. This company has been run into the ground by nearly an all white executive leadership team and board of directors for years and someone DEI initiatives in the past year are to blame? Ok. Sure, Karen!

That's honestly what Nike stands for these days: toxic positivity and real toxicity.

The website is called thelayoff!! It’s not a site for happy Nike employees to share how great Nike is. People who come to this sight, for the most part, have been laid off and, of course, are unhappy about it.
