Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

AT&T

I'm hearing rumors AT&T wants to close the Lumen deal before the end of the year. This might explain why.

AT&T announced yesterday that they will pay EchoStar $23 billion in cash to acquire a portion of EchoStar's wireless spectrum licenses, specifically 30 MHz of mid-band (3.45 GHz) and 20 MHz of low-band (600 MHz) spectrum - the deal is expected to close sometime in mid-2026

You can rest assured AT&T will ruin your company as they have with all their previous acquisitions. It's great you found another position. Count yourself lucky.

Feels good to say who cares last day at Lumen tomorrow.

Won’t miss the anxiety of losing my job and checking daily for any scoop in this board. Will miss my Lumen brothers and sisters prayers for you all. The people here were fantastic fun times last 10 years but at certain point need stability in life. Lumen at is core has amazing people just have had a bad run on poor leaders and execution. Lumen will have a special place in my heart but every day of new rumors and murky outlook was becoming a drain. As a 55 year old extremely lucky found something else. best of luck to you all and hope this place gets some stability
