Cobra is $$$. Go with Healthcare.Gov as it is more reasonable with more selections and is not going anywhere. If people would just educate themselves, read, and stop repeating what they here from some bubble headed media jockey they would understand. If anything at all is changing it would be to the credits folks will get after a lengthy time period as some people milk the system and get free healthcare for long periods of time and will only make up to a certain amount to ensure they get the government goody bags this does not impact children, single mothers etc.

Take cobra as ACA is not a safe bet as long as Trump wont extend it.

Check your documentation carefully - usually it's the end of the month (November) for both medical & dental, you can continue with COBRA month-to-month after that, but the price is stiff (to the tune of 1-2K/month per family). Fortunately it will be the open enrollment period for open-market insurance, where you can find plans with lower premiums than COBRA (coverage starting Jan 1, 2026). Good luck.

Healthcare.gov will give you coverage and a great price that will put AT&T to shame. Grab Tmobile service and between those two you will save hundreds of dollars per month.

Vision and dental at the end of the month of separation. Medical for 6 months with discount, then you can continue current insurance but have to pay full price bc no more employer contribution.
