Any updates?

@a8 I actually think it might have been named that because the official address of Dell Corporate is 1 Dell way in Round Rock.
Maverick is "One Dell Way" dude lol. That's the update.
not many complaints....it must be a success then.
Update? One Dell Way continues on. Any failures of One Dell Way will be dealt with.
Bank on more layoffs. One Dell Way or not. Delay of some of it or not. They are going to keep on going. Look at the stock price. It's up four times since 2023 and GUESS WHAT, that is when the amount of employees started to really go down. Stock price is what they look at. Not your tears, not your complaining, not your objection to RTO, not to anything etc. They are starting to believe that AI will make human work worth less than it is now. I hope that doesn't happen but it sure feels that way.
@tz yes...if I had things I needed to on Sunday that I cannot and now it becomes the work week and I get nothing done. Complete failure on my part.
@tz Which replan? The first delay where they said that there would be absolutely no more delays? Or the second delay where they quietly shelved Commerce and CRM (by far the two most important parts of the whole project) with no anticipated date for go-live?
@tz Can't answer that as it's literally never happened to me.
@ty every project will have replan and rescoping. It launched successfully based on the replan. When you plan to mow your yard on Saturday and don't do it until Sunday, do you consider yourself a failure?
@tx a partial launch. They got the easiest piece done and now have a recurring license cost to Oracle for a core piece of IT software. I don't think that's a win. Its going in the garbage in 2 years to be remade again
Just launched successfully...where the haters at?
@ke So it will be a failure as it was poorly designed and the project was headed by the mist incompetent folks Dell could find?
It will 100% function as designed and according the competency of those involved at the top level of the project.
@h0 It'll be shut down in the first 10 minutes. Watch.
Soft launch this weekend is going to be hilarious. Best to call in sick on Monday if you are in support.
@OP Maverick is, and is going to be for a long time, the mother of all CFs. JC is the leader of this world-class CF! He needs to go!!
@c9 Lunch? Is that even allowed here at Dell?
A complete waste of time and money! Another failed deadline, because they laid off all of the experienced, competent Americans, and let the imbecile, untalented H1B CHEAP labor try to do things they are completely incapable of doing. And this after the failed DellPrint debacle about 11 years ago. Should have just bit the bullet and bought SAP to do it all. But NOOOO! Dell thinks they can build better systems from scratch. ID--TS! JC needs to go!
Parts of it are delayed, yes. But some changes (like HR) will proceed next week. What I mean by “breaking” is that as we transition to new systems, it won’t be seamless. We’re a huge company with a TON of applications. Essentially One Dell Way is hitting the reset button on everything.
You might have already noticed that job postings haven’t been visible for a while. That’s just one tiny example that doesn’t impact much for the majority of us. But we’ll all feel the impact in other ways, depending on where you work within Dell.
Commerce is delayed indefinitely
a second time? We know about the first time.
@a6 lunch has been delayed...
@a6 like what? Be more specific please. You seem to have knowledge about it.
@a6 One Dell Way is a perfect name for it. It's a one-way street with a dead end and a dumpster at the end.
Dude. Maverick is One Dell Way. We’ll see how it shakes out in the coming months, but lots of things are going to break.
