Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Open letter to our new CEO - Mike

Mike,

What is left of your loyal employees have high hopes of you being able to turn fiserv around and truly making it a fintech company. Please remove the draconian measures that we suffer under. Please get rid of Sapience which doesn’t work, and go to a hybrid work arrangement with 3-4 days in the office. Our only motivation is to not appear on a report.

We are tired, frustrated, over-worked, and treated like trash. We need a work-life balance. We need you to trust us and middle managers to know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. We are not mindless zombies that need to be controlled. Please treat us as the professionals that we are. We have lost great talent due to RIFs, early retirement, people finding remote jobs and higher pay. Most have had it due to Sapience and RTO.

Please make Fiserv great again

@a8 My manager doesn't give a FU-K about quality of work. You would be lucky if even one random employee cares about craftsmanship but don't bet on any manager wanting qualitative accountability.

If you work at a place like Fiserv you are part of the problem.

If this is true, company leadership STILL doesn't get it. The rigid office hours is the main issue. Keeping Sapience is the doorway to compromise. Keep Sapience and give us more flexibility with in-office requirements.

Have management do their jobs by monitoring work product. Even if there are ways to trick Sapience, you can't fake final work product. Judge people by the quality of their work and levels of productivity. Who cares where the work is done or number of hours spent on it if it's high quality and meets required metrics. Sometimes we'll put in 60 hours work weeks, sometimes 40. It balances out.

Why does this company always find ways to make the simplest things so convoluted and complicated?

It was not great.

And, good luck thinking a CEO is taking this site seriously for anything other than to find dirt on people.
