@eg To engender fear. We're at the point where fear is the only management tool left. There is no money, or promotion, for you. You are expendable, and always have been.. They are just saying the quiet part out loud now.

the pins cost $16. How much money did they save? Seems very small that they discontinued such a minor expense to recognize long serving employees. Why even announce this in the same breadth as discontinuing the 401 match.
When I retired in 2022 after 38 yrs, the goodbye letter I received had my name spelled wrong.
The Java based UI has 3 ten year pins!
My 20-year pin was two 10-year pins glued together.

When I got mine, the letter that came with it was all wrinkled and a mess. Disappointing presentation...I was proud of all that time I put in too. Sad.
