I am already fighting for retaliation and harrasment complaints with HR . They told me my complaint are unsubstantiated and they are protecting management and leadership. F Them
HR is hired by the company and paid by the company. I'll leave it for you to work out the rest of the equation In terms of who they protect, how they protect them and why.
@va were you let go because you made a report?
@ay i had a case where i could seek legal action, yet they still sided with management. I sued
HR is a legal fiction created to keep the company out of lawsuits. They will do whatever is necessary, no matter how unethical, to protect the company’s money.
Has anyone seen a similar situation play out? The goal is to have an actionable strategy if there is one that exists.
@ds does the same apply to behavior that is not technically against any established policy or isn’t “unlawful”? I can’t locate any policy that addresses protocol or safe guards for addressing bad managers or that sort of conflict. Behavior is 100% unethical
And HR will twist the complaints to make it non-existent
First, we have a no retaliation policy for good faith complaints. Check the Code. You should always report bad managers/wrong doers. Protecting the company means protecting employees - it’s a liability to the company to keep managers who violate the Code, etc.
HR exists to protect the company. Knowing that, the rest it known.
The CHRO is a lawyer. Her and her team will focus on protecting the company and not the employee.
HR is paid by the company to protect the company. They are not going to protect employees unless you have a case that can cause legal action against the company.
HR always sides with management.
@a9 that is what I’m curious to know as well……….. I would hope they would do the right thing
@a7 the managers are tied to close to Frank. Even though he’s gone, his people are still around
Why would HR back a toxic work environment that a manager created?
@a3 then why let the managers get away with that behavior? It ends up costing the company more money in the end and dampens their rep especially if there are multiple lawsuits!!! Wow
HR is there to protect the company, not you
HR sides with bad manager. HR is there to protect the company not you. HR is facing many lawsuits for their role in allowing discrimination and harassment. HR is not your friend
