Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Run better.

CK became a CEO because of his dad’s connections. His dad is or was a Minister in Government Germany. Albeit CK has been with SAP for a long time but that is because of favoritism with Hasso.

CK has lost a lot of good leaders in recent years, nobody wants to work for him. The change has become a big disruption for SAP and CK placing his buddies into leadership positions are not good leadership choices.

Unfortunately all they care about is stock performance and they will do anything to achieve this. It’s not difficult cut 10% of your staff you make your 8% gain in the market. It’s stock operations 101.

Unfortunately SAP are masters in marketing and sales and want to keep their clients, however every client is not satisfied with SAP.

Unfortunately clients don’t have much of a choice because it’s too costly to change ERP.

Good luck.

There is only one reason why CK is at the top:

Because he is the best. The best!

This opens the market for companies to simplify the transitioning process from ERP. I hope somebody does. I would help just to stick it to SAP.

@a7 How sad, and utterly disconnected. What a shame, all that potential now it makes sense, Clients, employees and the market are disconnect. All an illusion.

Left SAP recently and cashed out my stock on the last vest period. SAP is going to finish the year horribly. Good riddance.

SAP is a great company. That is so because of the fantastic board. No other company has such a talented board.

If the market is going to reward SAP for its cuts. then the perception is that SAP is bloated.
I have been with SAP for 18 yrs. Most teams dont like to take responsibility, they don't want to work with customers, they delegate that to partners. Even sales cherry pick deals.
They work in silo's the same thing is built like by 3 teams because management does not talk to others. Our customers can see that. Market analysts see this too. Middle level managers have never seen a customer in their career. They don't even know what product they are building and why a customer will buy it. The worst thing is that product is demoed to L levels and they all think it is next best thing. We hire to create manager's happy not customers happy. that is the basic problem . It is not a skillset issue , it is a mindset issue in SAP.
