Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

54% WHAT A JOKE

They pressure all of us. Constantly chasing goals as though they matter.

In the end, it’s all a lie. The are id--ts, the empire is crumbling, and every one of our numbers are going to get called.

This company is terrible. A failed shell of a once great company.

Now “led” by the best losers they can find.

We’re all peasants to them. MD has said as much.

Those last posts scream vapid AI ramble. With Nike going all in on that ‘innovation’ it’s no wonder we’re only getting 54% psp.

18 replies including myself, yet if you look at this in a way that can only be true and take how things are digest it then realize what we have and the resources that have revolutionized our ability to retain knowledge of anything that you are truly passionate about this is the only way to successful wealth that’s wealth meaning your life having meaning and freedom doing what you love and you have to be insane enough to create the relentlessness which is passion driving you and never letting you give up on what you really want to be in life the world is not how it because that’s the way it’s always been it’s made by people who knew nothing and found access or made paths to do great things the people who run the company after they are gone are the ones that are there for money and money is not a drive finding how you can make others life easier and fixing real world problems with real people and real situations as well as having services quality and make the consumer user experience simplistic and creating relationships within your company is freedom work for anyone you want but know your limitations within worker there domain America was founded by people that are long gone but the dream only stays alive for those who truly believe the dream they gave us and the government along with greedy CEO’s that weren’t the original founders/entrepreneurs are stupid but think you just as stupid as them people think of themselves in others create a vision that will make you overcome them and take the talented people that you work together with and pursue a memorable dream that you can share passion with people alike who are even better in that niche to make you better

Be glad you work at a company that gives bonuses. After 18 years, I left Nike, having enjoyed some really high times with a bonus PSP above 100! Now I work at a firm who cares less and can't even wish me a happy holiday. Crickets. 54% is far better than nothing and some employees not receive a raise for over five years like where I work now.

Something is always better than nothing, though would like to see an accounting of the cost & impacts from SEC design & coding errors. Claims skyrocketed because couldn’t get good data to Customers so they could receive in & pay for the goods. Would guess we burn more cash from doing d-mb stuff each month than it’d take to fund the PSP pool at 100%. Want ‘heart’, let’s bring accountability. Mess up, pay up. There are people that care and work their butts off - find them, listen to them. The ones getting the attention & resources are looking out for themselves and the fiefdom they’ve built. The ones really bringing it every day to keep things moving are getting tossed under the bus … ‘cause they know exactly where the issues are, and are a threat to the fiefdom builders.

Buy NIKE stock. It’s cheap. This stupid fu--ing blog is the Best Buy signal ever invented. $100k now = $300k in 18 months.

EH and -1 no PSP? Not enough!!! EH, -1,-2 and -3 are not deserved to have ANY PSP this year.

@a7 is that jet “ski” singular because you can only afford one?

Joking aside, while I appreciate the bonus and it is more than I expected I also agree with the OP pressure that has been placed on the worker bees this past year and feel that the bonus is very deserved.

A profit share bonus is not a right. The only thing anyone should expect from Nike as an employee is your salary, the predefined health benefits and financial investment benefits like 401K and ESPP. As long as you don't make personal financial decisions based on the expectations of a bonus payout every year then the number whether small or large for PSP should always be a "nice to have" and never a point of frustration. Other companies under similar financial duress have resorted to pay cuts (in addition to the obvious layoffs). At least pay isn't being reduced for us.

Dude... were you not here last year? I seem to remember our PSP being way less than that. They knew it was going to su-k, E said as much at the Q2 all-hands.

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason he and his directs aren't taking bonuses is in order to give us at least that much. Don't bi--h.
