There’s no “change period” after open enrollment anymore right?

It ends today. I’ve been pondering one thing as relates to flex and as a severed employee I have to get a live human on the phone. I don’t think I can do it online be it on the web or the workday app.

you've had how many weeks to decide? Although I would think that getting laid off would qualify as a life changing event and allow you to make changes.

@a6 I think they reversed that where you'll get nothing if you confirm nothing. It used to be your current plan(s) was the default and would carry forward

I think if you call HR service center within a few weeks you should be able to make a change but who knows.

Since this is a layoff channel i will share - If you plan to get RIF’d early in the year then hedge your bet and max out the FSA amount as long as you know or can plan on much needed dental, vision, etc that can consume that amount. So let’s say you have $3k you think you can spend but you are worried you might get rif’d. Here is an upside. Make sure your provider bills you early in the year or Within the 60 day notice. You don’t have to pay the money back. So if you contributed 300 by March and you billed FSA 2500 for your kids braces you really only contributed 300 and FSA is at a loss of 2200. Just need to make sure you can pull the trigger on the cost quickly so it can be billed.

If I don’t go in and change anything, do I get auto re-enrolled in the same/most similar plan?

@a1 yeah yeah yeah.

Used to be that even after enrollment was done there was a one or two week period to modify. You couldn’t flat out add, say, an FSA but you could change the contribution amount upon further review.

There is. If you get married, divorced, k-ll your spouse, have kids, you can change your benefits.
